Texas on the Air: 1960-1999

Texas on the Air: 1960 - 1999 is built around a towering TV antenna and concentric circles. The antenna's structure is simplified to allow images to flow within the structure. A large, single star is formed within the lower part of the tower structure. Each decade is represented by a change of color, with images of the final decade in the waves radiating from the top. The images of technology development, history, and community merge with one another to form the tower. The center circle of this canvas is in approximately the same location as in the first painting and has a technological emphasis that contrasts with the classical symbolism of the first canvas.
